Just a fun place to be. Somewhat isolated but in a safe and friendly community. The owners are great hosts and very accomodating. The restaurant has excellent food, well priced and served casually or more formally as you prefer.

Based on Google GPS location, this appears to be now a newly built 3 level luxury one &two bedroom apartments complex w luxury pool, hot tub, not yet ready for occupancy, possibly owned/managed by former Torontonian Denny(? from the D.R., lovely views however too far from anywhere within Costambar, cant walk to mercado or beach or golf course so owner advises he ll provide golf club car IMO several months away from any airbnb or direct private rental due to renos n safety code issues, decor is lovely but appears luxury priced for tourists in an area that may not be able to handle the high prices, lets check back in September 2019 to see how its going

Friendly atmosphere, welcome. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Very nice place to relax and enjoy the ambience.

Family operation and operation. The place where I always stay at a visit to Puerto Plata. And will always go there in the future. The food at Sam's Bar is excellent; all dishes are equally good. Stay with L'Oase for rest and incomparable service and living atmosphere.
