Fuck zalma! Place is ok but omg the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. We came as platinum club but we 're treated worst than homeless people. We just wanted towels to dry off after the pool and we 're told that 's your problem . Front desk gave one towel and said enjoy your towel even though we have three in our party. I had the best time. This is an all inclusive resort, and it is real deal all inclusive. I saw many reviews stating how they were all about phishing and tried to sell you on everything, definitely not. They are VERY transparent with additional fees, which are far and few between only on additional wishes. They pick you up from the airport which they call you ahead of time to set up. Our original room wasn't ready when we arrived, so they upgraded us to Hotel Venus Ha (same resort different building) for no additional charge. Dinner is by reservation only, and I will say there were some people who did have trouble getting acceptable times. We had 8/8:30PM pretty much every night which worked for us. Each pool has pretty much only one bar, which could be seen as a down side, but it was fine. One maybe two people at most in line. Quick service. Polite service. One thing we noticed is that the turnover service came at 8AM every morning. As younger people who were on vacation, it was a bit annoying. However we just turned them away and went back to sleep, and they came by later. The drinks were good. They could make pretty much whatever you wanted! The food was FANTASTIC! So many options. We stayed 6 days and there were still certain things we craved every single day. The street taco station YUM! They have kayaking and other water sports included. Complete at your own risk, the water is strong. The beach was more for looking than getting it. Did have a few rocks and seaweed but staff could be seen actively attempting to pick it all up. The shows at night were hit or miss. Always at 8 or 9. So be mindful if you want to go to both for dinner times. Our favorite restaurant was the kobo HARD to get a reservation so get that one first thing when you get there! Overall if you are looking for a place to party, probably not the scene for you. If you are going to relax and have some great food and drinks go and you will have a great time!
This place is always amazing. We come here every year and will always come back. The people here are amazing and so friendly. The food is top-notch. The views are too die for. If you love little critters they are every where.
The check in process is terrible. They don't give you your room right away. They try to get you to pay more for an upgrade. Very infuriating when you are coming in with kids that are tired, hot and hungry. We booked a pool view double bed room and all they had was a 1 bed and 1 pull out couch in building 19, which by the way is the freaking jungle infested with bugs and giant mosquitos. Then when we saw our room we came back to the lobby for a change. They put us at the Ventus resort next door. Granted the room was much better, but we were so far from our family members. The walk from one hotel to the next is about 10-15 minutes. The golf carts that are supposed to transport you back and forth DO NOT come around too often. And when you go to the lobby to ask for one, the valet men roll their eyes at you as if you are asking for too much. On a different note, the food was surprisingly good. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant Guilia! Drinks were also great, all the bartenders were great!

All of these hotels, and entire properties, reek of ocean death. Checking in with our friends (who were platinum) we were shooed out of the lounge. The check in process didn't tell us about any activities or amenities. They didn't tell us which restaurants were open, and when. They didn't tell us which pools were accessible to us, and when. They didn't explain the drink package (as there are clearly different ones). They checked us in, gave us a map, and basically kicked us down the street. No reservations were available, anywhere, for 5 nights, for the two of us. What a JOKE! It was the same tired buffet every night, and 1/2 the time it wasn't even stocked! Drinks, super watered down and limited options. Although there were a few bright spots, I stayed irritated for the entire trip. It was hard to relax because it was constantly one thing after another with these people. The entire resorts all need to be heavily re-trained in customer service! I'll never be back. 1 STAR
