Visited El Quincho for a Sunday Lunch on Argentina 'Father's Day'. The place was absolutely crowed of course but being so big we could get anyway a table. I recommend going to the farther end of the restaurant where there is something like a separate room so you get isolated from the noise of the main floor.Aged staff, efficient and professional but not that friendly unless you break the ice in friendly talk, else they are in a hurry to take the order.Very very long list of dishes coveting every possible variation of local food (typical Bodegon), we went with the most traditional gnocchi con estofado, ravioles, some mollejas and Bife de Chorizo. All food was good, except for my 7 yrs old daughter that was raging because the had put the parmesan cheese on top of the gnocchi. The meat was perfect and medium rare as we asked for; surprising for a restaurant this size and crowded that most of the time are inconsistent in this scenario.Prices are very cheap, wines are cheaper but do not expect a great list. All in all, this is a good place for a big group of family lunch or dinner to have fun, no expensive food, and certainly try some good local meat.
Atmosphere plus, with food and music to leave feel good memories of long after we arrived back home in New Zealand. The wait staff spoke excellent english. Though the restaurant very busy they were never too busy to check if we were in need of something. The live music set a enjoyable tone to the evening which we able to sing along to or sit back and listen to. The food was cooked to perfection and went down well with a bottle of local wine. thankyou
Of course you eat barbecue when in Argentina and this is what you will get at Tio Querido. The prices of the steaks were so inexpensive. $15-$20 for awesome steaks. We shared multiple cuts and they were all delicious. On top of a great meal, they had tango dancing during the evening. If you like meat, I would recommend this restaurant. Arrive early to get a seat or make a reservation. It is packed later at night.
Food is average; however the bill was twice as promised. There were 2 wine bottles charged extra. Besides that, place is good with good music.
