Salvador Gaviota - Puerto Barrios

Great beachy hotel with a relaxed feel. Food is good. Rooms are serviceable for the beach, but not special, and it is actually on sand when you step off your little porch. Come here if you want to relax and handout in hammocks, lay on their chairs, and enjoy the views firm tables on a the beach. Eat and chat for a long dinner. Water wasn't clean in front when I went, but just down the beach was good water time. Hammocks on the pier and amazing dark sky stargazing make this place feel special.

Cleanest beach in livingston. Cleaner than playa blanca. Every morning they scour the beach for trash and what the tide brings in. Only hotel that has it's own decent beach. Alk of the beautiful tourists go there to sunbath. Water is clean. Bring good sunscreen very strong sun. The cabins are rustic but we'll done. Netting all around the cabins structure. Beds are semi comfortable but clean. Bathrooms are clean. Spacious rooms for all price levels. We took two 4 bed rooms. Geckos crawl around the ceiling which iis cool. Bring heavy deet as you will get mosquito bites. The provide an anti mosquito incense. Good bar. Restaurant is crazy crazy slow and they will forget your drinks. Staff is awesome but it will be 45 minutes before you eat. Just go swimming. Avoid the hamburger and sandwiches. They are gross. Their salads and chicken are divine. The food is expensive. Bring healthy snacks to avoid lunch there if you can as it is $10 lunch per person easy. All in all, we will definitely return but bring a lot of our own food.

Nice cabin placed in lovely garden that looks like botanic garden.Everything tiny around.
