What Binoya Krishnamurthy doesn't like about Le Dupleix:
Though the food was good the service was extremely slow..They took us more than half an hour to serve a coffee and dessert..For each item we had to enquire, number of times before it was actually served. We had a brandy infused chicken which was well worth the try, a well made steak, which came bit too well made hence hard, order it medium made. And a spaghetti which was good. View all feedback.

The food and drinks were good, but that's to be expected for the price that is being charged. The decor and ambience were relaxed and pretty. However, these are the only good things I can say about this place. The staff at the entrance showed us further down the street when we asked them if this was Le Dupleix. I was confused and had to return in the scorching heat after consulting Google Maps. The service was efficient, but it was quite warm in the dining room. Even after asking the waiters to lower the temperature, we ate our meal sweating and hot. From the rave reviews I had heard of this hotel, it was quite a disappointing experience.
I wouldn't rate this the best and also bad but its just an overpriced restaurant. We ordered few very simple dishes which were too complicated. The beer wasn't chill enough.the drink we ordered was decent. The brandy infused chkn was decent but the dish that was displayed outside couldn't find it in the menu but was **** expensive and absolutely not worth was 1k. Paid a whoppy 3k and returned dejected.penned arabitta was good The decor and locality was good enuf.
Visited this place to try some French dishes. It's like a large palace kind of restaurant, different seating areas - outdoor area, AC restaurant with bar.We were even told to check out the innovative washroom here, which has a wash basin that is operated by foot. Interesting! :) They gave us a complimentary starter - Garlic bread with liquid butter. Was okayish. We wanted to try Grilled Calamari but it was not available. We ordered French Onion soup - I'm not sure if it is the authentic French soup, but if it is, I would suggest not to try. It's just Herb water with sliced onion floating in it. The cheese crouton was soggy and not tasty. Grilled tiger prawns with lemon-caper butter sauce - It came with a side of lemon risotto. The prawns were yummy but the risotto was dry and hard. Tawa fried fish - It came with a side of mashed potatoes. Tasted spicy and good. Cocktails- Frozen Daiquiri - I asked for Cranberry flavour. It's really like a Cranberry gola as the bacardi was less. A novelty thing - They serve water which has lemon & mint leaves instead of plain water. It is really refreshing in summer and I've never seen any other restaurant serving something like this. Overall, a good one-time experience. Portion size= 4/5 Service= 4/5 Taste= 3/5 Ambience= 4/5 Value for money= 3/5
