This place is good but it was full when we went there for lunch ... we had non vegetarian meals and fried chicken. Food - 3/5 Ambience - 3/5 Service - 4/5

Best for South Indian cuisine in pondicherry.. ???? good ambience.. good staff... Briyani was tasty.. no where else in pondicherry u can get a better tasting South Indian.. so if u want South Indian better dine here.

I WENT WITH MY FAMILY., IT'S GOOD AT TASTE OF CHETTINAD, I HAVE ORDERED MUTTON BRIYANI WITH CHICKEN 65. IT WAS QUITE AVERAGE. BECAUSE, OF IT'S SEMI-COOKED MUTTON PIECES, UNLESS IT COULD BE A BETTER BRIYANI. CHICKEN 65 WAS ON ABOVE AVERAGE TASTE. SERVICES ARE NOT GOOD, AS WE WENT ON SUNDAY. MIGHT BE, THEY DIDN'T SERVED WELL BECAUSE OF THE CROUD. BUT, SHOULD IMPROVE IT'S TASTE.

Hotel Sri kamatchi - this place has always been my favourite . Last day of stay in Pondy and definitely not to miss this place for lunch . A decent dining restaurant for South Indian food. I love the other branch for mess like environment than this . So our pick for starter was prawn kamatchi,kotamalli chicken and fish 65. Ordered one kaadai biryani combo which is served with some white rice as well. Biryani was okayish , kaadai I have tried it for first tym I didn't like it much. Loved the chicken starter must try . Fish 65 was also good . Prawn was made with scrambled egg which I m not a fan of. Didn't like much. Rice with non veg rasam was excellent. Service was good. Total VFM. Overall good place to satisfy your South Indian food cravings. Definitely will repeat this place.

I will fall short of words if I begin to pen down my amazing experience at Hotel Sri Kamatchi. Definitely one of my best & most soul satisfying meals of all times. Hotel Sri Kamatchi today runs 3 outlets in Puducherry and believe me if you like sea food or non vegetarian in any form you will fall in love with this place. Don't go by the ambiance. The ambiance is like any Tamil eatery - plain and simple, with cast iron tables and chairs and unpolished staff. But the food absolutely makes up for everything else. The menu is plain and simple. 2 pages of laminated coloured menu card. We ordered the much talked about chicken kamatchi, Prawn Kamatchi, chicken 65, Prawn 65, Appams, Prawn Biryani and fish curry. The service is very very swift. You will surprised to see food arriving at a lightening fast speed. The food is oh so delicious, so scrumptious and oh so inexpensive. The pricing and portions are just perfect too. All dishes were great. I strongly recommend the chicken kamatchi, the prawn kamatchi and the prawn biryani.
