I went for Sunday dinner with a friend, having visited this restaurant several times before. I've noticed a general improvement in the dishes compared to earlier visits. What User doesn't like about The Calverley Arms:
the waitress was annoying and it felt like she didn't want to be there. we had to track them up and ask for everything, e.g. to order drinks, order food etc. Beyond that, the service was so slow it took 2 hours. 15mins only to bring 2 courses to our table View all feedback.

When we arrived in the pub, we said that our booking was sitting on a laptop upstairs and therefore we were not booked in and there were no available tables except in the bar area (which were not suitable for my party). it is clear that the opentable reservation system is not linked to its own reservation system, therefore prestige in booking. very disappointed.
The place itself is always good but the booking with opentable was not on their system (not the first time apparently) we were first told fully booked but later having waited were given our table for 7 (2 tables pushe'd together) they did all they can bit sort your booking system out
I am a regular visitor and like the surrounding gardens Service is good and the menu is quite acceptable I will continue to visit!
Really good service and the food was very good, fast service and very warm. Really really enjoyed it
