My first visit for a couple of years a very pleasant surprise. There's a new owner the layout is very different. Much more a homely bistro style. A really nice vibe clearly popular as it was a late morning weekday but more than half full. The range of food drink offerings is very impressive with brunch, lunch, evening meals, snacks etc and all at reasonable prices. On top of that, the new owners are clearly committed to making No. 22 much more of a community hub since, as well as the above, there's also a very regular programme of entertainment. Definitely worth a visit a valuable addition to the town. A brave one too considering the extensive competition!
Excellent food, the meals were authenticly greek. Lovely helpful and friendly welcome. Just a couple of steps at the entrance to negotiate.
Called for a snack. Very friendly owner. Cafe was small, cosy and very clean. Lots of lovely cakes to choose from too. My friend is coeliac so she had cheese n onion omelette and i had a tomato n mozzarella panini, both with garnish. Well presented, hot and tasty. Along with 2 teas it was £14, very reasonable, we thought. I would recommend.
