Shaker's - Prudenville

This place was a true find! Cute little place! While Visiting from NEPA, doing some ORV riding, we stopped here for lunch. Our waitress, Kathy, was the absolute BEST! Our food was off the hook! I highly recommend if you're in the area! Try the pineapple upside down cake pancakes. You will not be disappointed! It's like fricken dessert! And their biscuits and gravy... ?!? Just like your grandma used to make. If I could give more stars, I would. <chefs kiss

Good food, excellent staff, everyone works in unison with a lot of hustle. It is a good place to eat when in the Houghton Lake area.

My husband and I along with our 10 year old daughter just left this place. We did not have a chance to eat or rate the food. But we could rate our interactions and hospitality. We had a 15 to 20min wait to be seated like everyone else. The issue is when people who came after us was seated before us. Without complaint; we were seated. Another issue was the endearing name our waitress continue to call my husband honey ; this had him upset and I kept him from asking her to stop. To add to the compound disrespect, a party of 4 to 5 people (who was seated 10 to 15 min after us) received their food before us. Now we can chop this up to waitress lazziness or we could just call it what it is! You see, my skin color is like no other customers in the restaurant or waiting outside the restaurant. I am black, my husband is white, and our daughter is biracial. We got up and just left without given a reason! We are not seeking to hear excuses. If we could give no stars we would. This is the year 2024

The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was very very good, cooked perfectly, with portions that were neither to large or too small. Great place. Highly recommend

The server was very rude and was making faces every time a new customer came it.
