The dining experience was average, not outstanding. The options for vegans were decent. There was an issue with insects flying around as we were seated outside. There was barely any tofu available. View all feedback.
The dining experience was average, not outstanding. The vegan options were fine. There were some issues with flies outside. Add some tofu to the menu!
During our stay in Protaras in August, we celebrated my husband's birthday. Originally looking for a Chinese restaurant, we discovered that the recommended options were mostly takeaways. The next choice, Mojito Bar and Grill, was unfortunately closed. Our final option, Tower House, seemed to offer small portions and we were tired of burgers. Luckily, we stumbled upon [distorted] Chai on our way and decided to give it a try. We were delighted with our visit. The service was excellent, our waitress Dasha from Bulgaria spoke Russian making it easy to communicate our vegan preferences. We were very pleased with the vegetable fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and chicknödel we ordered. The portions were generous and everything was incredibly tasty. Impressed, we returned the next day to try the spring rolls and chop suey vegetables. As a token of appreciation for our loyalty, we were treated to a mandarin sorbet. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance with authentic interior and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving Chinese food! Review updated on 2020-10-26.

The food was decent, not amazing. The vegan options were satisfactory. There was an issue with flies (we sat outside). They should consider adding tofu to the menu!
During our trip to Protaras in August to celebrate my husband's birthday, we were in the mood for Chinese food. Unfortunately, the first restaurant we found online was only for takeout. The Mojito Bar and Grill was closed, so our last option was Tower House, known for small portions and burgers. But luckily, we stumbled upon [censored] Chai on the way. We were delighted with our experience there. The service was excellent, our waitress Dasha from Bulgaria spoke Russian and easily accommodated our vegan requests. We enjoyed Vegetable Fried Rice (spicy), Vegetable Stir Fry Chinese Style, and Vegetable Dumplings, all of which were delicious with generous portions. We returned the next day to try Spring Rolls and Chop Suey Vegetables, and were even treated to Mandarin sorbet as a loyalty bonus. The cozy restaurant has authentic decor and friendly staff. I highly recommend [censored] Chai for anyone who loves Chinese cuisine! (Review updated on 2020-10-26)
