A family-friendly local Tex-Mex restaurant! They have a kids' menu that my preschoolers enjoyed coloring on, and the chips and salsa were just right for me—flavorful without being too spicy. The chile relleno and the bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp were fantastic! We will definitely return! View all feedback.
What Verlie Green doesn't like about Ernesto's:
The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. They tried to rush us through our meal, yet when we wanted our check, it was nearly impossible to find anyone. This is a Mexican restaurant, but they don't even have rum for a Mataji? What a letdown! I strongly advise against ordering the fried ice cream for dessert; it’s just a small scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with corn flakes. Not tasty at all. I... View all feedback.
This place has the best tacos and great margaritas! It's a cute hole in the wall! I love coming here with my husband for date night!
Absolutely a disgrace to call this place fine Mexican food nothing here is good. All microwaved premade food that 's probably been sitting for hours, no idea how this place has this many good reviews. Guess all these people have never had actual Mexican food. To top it all off they have the unmitigated gall to charge high prices as if this was a fancy place with bomb food. All for some mediocre Mexican food. Don 't waste your time. Drive up the street to Salsa Tex Mex for some decent Mexican food or Gloria 's down the street for a better variety of Latin food.
We moved to prosper a little over a year ago and had no idea this place existed! It's very hidden but close to Preston and first. So thankful we stumbled in here after trying Anamias (too long of a wait). Our server was fantastic, friendly and helped us make great choices for dinner. I had the platillo Pacifico and it was delicious and SO much food. My husband had the carnitas burrito and enjoyed his as well. The chips are thin and crispy- just like we like and our daughter gave her approval on the salsa. That's saying a lot coming from this picky 9 year old! Tried the premium margarita and the swirl and have to say the swirl was my favorite. Loved the interior decor. We will definitely be back!!
Enjoyed a wonderful meal on the patio! I started with a drink from the bar menu the Three mamasita margarita. I confirmed that it was a frozen margarita, cuz I dont care for on the rocks! I guess I imagined a swirl of the three flavors in one big glass. Well, it comes out like a flight of margaritas in these cute little glasses. You get one each of strawberry, peach and mango. It was yummy! My gkids wanted to try some, but I said no, this is gma 's adult slurpee! For my entree I chose the David 's Brisket Tacos. I love brisket tacos on a corn tortilla. It was so delicious! There were 3 on the plate, I could barely finish one with all those mini margs and chips! The weather was perfect to sit outside. Our server took great care of us. Sometimes you can get forgotten about when seated on the patio, but this was not the case. Had a great dining experience and I 'll be back!
Good food, speedy service. Get the queso fundido! So good, it won't disappoint. Nachos and burritos are so good too!
