A popular Afghan restaurant in Adelaide has received mixed reviews from customers. While some appreciated the variety of dishes offered, with particular praise for the chicken breast option, others were disappointed with the quality of food, such as tough lamb and bland rice. Additionally, issues with customer service were highlighted, including being shortchanged and feeling unwelcome. Despite these negative experiences, some patrons enjoyed the generous portion sizes and the flavorful kebabs. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential but may need to work on consistency in food quality and customer service.

Was Arvel Daniel at Safa Kebab a mag?
My go-to takeaway! The food is delicious and healthy. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the place is very clean, and it's conveniently nearby. My husband loves the meatballs in chickpea sauce, I enjoy the half chicken, and the boys are fans of the mixed kebab! View all feedback.

What Enid Raynor dislikes about Safa Kebab:
I can certainly say I was in most Afghan restaurants in adelaide and this is about a 6.5/7 of 10. it's good, but it's not amazing. I'd rather be favorite to my other. I like that they offer chicken breast in contrast to other places. it's just a little drier obvious. View all feedback.

I didn’t have much encounter with Middle Eastern food in Malaysia but if there’s one thing I know now, I love their chargrilled meats and rice pilafs/palaw. One afternoon out and about running errands we stopped by Safa Kebab House. You will find many of these kebab houses around Adelaide, all offering choices of whole grilled chicken, koftas and kebabs with flatbread or rice. I’m always tempted by a grilled whole chicken. As much as fillets are easy to eat, there’s nothing like the flavour you get when cooking chicken with the bone in. Same applies for Chinese food. Chicken on bone adds much better flavour to the dish. Alas I have a fussy husband so it’s a bit lack-lustre sometimes. Still good but not the same.

Casual no fuss Afghan restaurant on prospect road just a few minutes up from O'Connel Street. <br/ It's got the drinks fridge and a loud large plasma on the wall. Service was relaxed and friendly.<br/ <br/ I ordered the three mixed kebabs with rice. At $14 the portion size very decent and tasted delicious. Rice was fluffy and season well. The chicken was some of the most tender I have tasted in a long time from any cuisine. Lamb was was also delicious. <br/ <br/ As mentioned...no fuss but great value restaurant serving delicious Afghan food.<br/ <br/ Looking forward to my next visit

Yummy food, nice open clean environment, friendly staff. There was a some chilli in a few unexpected places but we were overall very satisfied with the meal. I'm keen to come back and try some more things on their menu.

I can safely say I’ve been to most the afghan restaurants in Adelaide and this one is about a 6.5/7 out of 10. It’s good, but it’s not amazing. I’d rather to my other favourites. I do like that they offer chicken breast as opposed to other places though. It’s just a bit dryer obviously.

Got my order wrong one too many times especially when I repeated it back.
