Kroger - Prospect
Kroger
Description
Nestled in the neighborhood, this Kroger blends friendly service and a strong produce selection with frustrating operational flaws. Shoppers praise helpful staff, tidy aisles, and a compact layout that makes produce shopping easy, but frequent stock gaps, confusing shelf moves, slow or unfulfilled pickup orders, and higher prices dent the experience. Inconsistent bagging practices (plastic used despite requests), occasional rude encounters, and understaffing during busy times are recurring complaints. When it runs well it’s efficient and well-stocked; when it doesn’t, inventory and pickup mismanagement undermine convenience.

Do not shop at this store. They care nothing about their customers. They have signs posted everywhere saying masks are required but when it comes to actually telling someone they are required to a person not wearing one, their customer service desk said they were not allowed to approach anyone and say anything. He said the manager could offer them one but they didn't have to wear it. He then shrugged his shoulders and said he wouldn't do anything. Then why have it posted on your doors? I know everyone doesn't take COVID seriously, but there are those that do. Be considerate and just wear a damn mask. And if your sick, STAY HOME! Just proof they don't care about their customers.
This is a nice Kroger, but since the advent of COVID-19, the shelves for bathroom toilet paper, napkins, and paper towels have been bare! What is Kroger doing to get these products onto the shelves. Are its supply lines shut down? No answers are offered by Kroger when asked.
I've been shopping at this Kroger since it first opened. Although I have occasionally encountered some items that were out of stock, I must say that the Thursday before the major "weather event" we had before Christmas was impressive. The shelves were fully stocked, there were enough employees to manage the largest crowd I've ever seen in a grocery store, and everyone was very willing to assist in finding what I needed. The checkout lines were quite long, but they moved swiftly. Great job, Kroger!
This Prospect Kroger is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. It's also not excessively large, which makes it easy to find everything you need without having to walk an endless distance. We're fortunate to have it in our area! Great job!
I came home from the Kroger store in Prospect KY and deleted the Kroger app from my phone and cut up my Kroger card because of the way I was treated at this Kroger. Kroger needs to be reminded that I am their CUSTOMER. They are not doing me a favor selling me their groceries, I am doing them a favor by buying their groceries. Or more specifically buying their toilet paper. Because I wanted to buy 2 packs, I was accused by the customer service manager of being a hoarded. I am 73 years old, I had not been out of my house for 4 weeks, since March 21. I needed a pack for myself and one of my daughters who has 5 children and asked me to buy a pack for her. The Kroger store where she shops was out the last time she was there. I am not a hoarder; I am a father trying to help one of his daughters. Who appointed Kroger the toilet paper police anyway? My total Kroger bill was over $200.00 this morning. You would think they might thank me for my business instead of making assumptions about me and attacking me. There were plenty of packs on the shelf of multiple brands. I will do my best to NEVER shop at Kroger again. I do have options, Walmart grocery, Target grocery, Costco, Amazon grocery, Meijer grocery, Whole Foods, Trader Joe 's etc. I don 't need Kroger, they need me. Hopefully I can live the rest of my life never walking in a Kroger store again. No telling how many thousands of dollars I 've spent at Kroger in my lifetime and this is the way they treat an old man. The customer service manager completely ruined my day. I 've been upset about this all day. And yes, he did finally do me a favor and let me buy the second pack, but he was a complete a about it. He made me feel like I was doing something really wrong. Who the hell is he to judge me or my intentions? I repeat, hopefully I can live the rest of my life NEVER shopping at Kroger again.
