A hidden jewel! This place is easy to miss, as the only way to get it from the highway to Progreso (if you leave Progreso, you need to take the Flamboyanes exit and get on the inbound side of the highway) and even driving in there is no sign of shutdown. But it is definitely worth the effort to find it. They give the classic appetizers before your meal (beans, beans etc.) and the food is great. Both the boquinete and the mero were fresh and tasty (boquinete is a thicker white meat, mero has a bit more taste/seafood taste) and the shrimp Ceviche was perfect. Try everything in salsa remos, it was fantastic!
Server very attentive and prompt to offer drinks and appetizers, it was 4 adults 1 teen and the bill was 1,800.00 102.09 usd) 1 regular item and 1 drink p/person 1 beer 1 mojito 2 sodas) Place was empty it was around 3pm) 1 more family arrived an hour after. I consider this place as pricey .
