Service was awful and after we complained of not getting our food and waiting an hour, the owner told us to get out and said "you're in my country now". Really? I never would have guessed our money was going to support that Mexican community of excellent people, with the except few.Business owners in Progreso and the Yucatan are most accommodating, friendly and went and need your/our business. We ate here last week after our cruise ship stopped in Progresso. The owner Charlie was extremely gracious and helpful. The prices were good, especially considering we were ocean front and looking at the beach. The food was AMAZING! Most of the kids ordered hot dogs. The adults finished the hot dogs. We were pleasantly surprised to find the best hot dogs we've ever eaten at a restaurant in Progresso, Mexico. Everything we had was great (coconut shrimp, beer battered shrimp, fish, pasta, wings, nachos, margaritas, desserts, etc. . I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Progresso.
We went last week to eat here for lunch! Omg best beer battered fish, chicken and onion rings to die for. Even got milkshakes and smoothies! Charlie was very nice and we ran into some other people we knew! Nice atmosphere!
We we're on cruise ship and went into Progreso. It was safe, police patrolled regularly on beach strip. We really enjoyed Charlie and Jack great hosts. Americans from Texas!The roast beef french dip was amazing and highly recommended. The chips and salsa were amazing and the homemade guacamole was the bomb! Drinks were very good, beach front was beautiful, restrooms we're clean. A little pricier than others but worth it. The staff was very, very nice.
By far the friendliest best place to hang out on the beach in Progreso Yucatán, Mexico!
Cruise ship stopped in Progresso, and we spent the day on the beach at Milk Bar. It was amazing! Good drinks, wonderful food, fabulous weather and location! Love our new #Milkbarfriends Charlie, Jack and Daniel.

Tourist area that doesn’t have many veggie options. This place has some good salads.

Excellent Food. We stopped here for supper our first night in Progresso and had the best meal! Chicken and shrimp tacos and guacamole. Everything was so good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend!
Great atmosphere, wonderful food plus huge portions, vanilla milkshake was to die for, and last but not least the waiters and waitresses were awesome!!!
This nice restaurant was right next to our hotel in Progreso and we decided to pop in for a quick lunch. Me immediately made friends with the owner, a gringo expat named Charlie who was extremely friendly and helpful with all our questions. The food was simple, but really good, and they were helpful with us since we are both vegetarians. We returned the following day for breakfast. I had the chilaquiles which were really good. My wife had the standard breakfast of pancakes....excellent! Thanks Charly!
We had lunch with some friends on a sunday afternoon and all of us really enjoyed it. Two of us had the fish box, a take on fish and chips, large quantity of very fresh fish and perfect french fries, two had the coconut shrimp which had enough for two people and again very fresh, our fourth had chocolate ice cream with a fried apple fritter, he loves desserts, especially ice cream. Well, the dessert appeared to be fantastic, no one got a taste and it was gone quickly and was a big serving. We loved setting outside, limited seating outside, with the view of the gulf. We watched rain storms move down the coast and thru Progresso and stayed dry to enjoy the activity. Prices are very fair, servings large and service was good, we will return since we live in Merida.
