Delicious food and great service. The entries, cocktails, dishes and seafood are more than superb. The waiters are more than eager to help and explain every dish secret they handle. Highly recommended.
The seafood lunch was inexpensive and delicious. We enjoyed an appetizer of guacamole and chips, as well as a small mixed ceviche of amazing different seafood like octopus and shrimp and more. My wife had the lobster entree, with five smaller spiny lobster tails, while I enjoyed the grouper, which was a little dry- fixed with some lime squirted on top. We didn’t want alcohol, so we ordered a pitcher jar of water of hibiscus, “agua de jaimaica.” Overall, for a meal that would top a hundred dollars in Miami, it cost about 50 and we added 20% tip. A steal.
We were in the area and wanted to get some coffee. This was pretty much the only place serving coffee among the local restaurants. We ordered a cappuccino, an orange juice and a desert icecream in a coffee. The order arrived shortly. Everything was very tasty. I truly enjoyed my orange juice it tasted very natural and fresh. The icecream in the coffee was my first ever try. I heard about such a desert but never tried it. I must say here it was very good. The coffee was freshly made and cooled, the I cream was tasty and the combination was great. We paid not more than 150 pesos for everything. Overall the place has a nice terrace, we were sitting outside. It was a lovely atmosphere. The service was fast and polite. We could understand each other with our basic Spanish. Overall a great place, good location, tasty food, friendly service and very affordable prices.
We wandered by a little after 8, but they clearly weren’t ready, so we went out to the pier and watched the birds and people fishing for a while. By 8:30 the tables were nearly all set up. My wife had a ham and cheese omelet, and I had the huevos telchaqueños, which is an omelet with ham, cheese, chorizo, peas, and yerba buena. It was perfect when I added a little El Yucateco exxxtra picante. The fresh orange juice was also wonderful.
