La Piñata is a local place right on the corner with indoor and outdoor dining. The best thing on the menu is the Pastor. The burritos and nachos are huge. Service is excellent. View all feedback.
My family has a house in progresso and has been going there for years however when we visited last week we found the place has totally changed. The chairs use to be deep round & relaxing and now they has small square (sit for 20mins) hard chairs. We ordered food from the 6 waiters who spoke not a lick of English and got drinks and chips. Before our food came they decided a huge screen projector system should be turned on with Nicki Manaj full blast for my 9 & 4 year old kids to enjoy. ??? Then after we did some "yelly" dinner talk our 3 of 4 entrees' came. When we asked where my husband's dinner was they just looked confused.he ended up eating with me as we didn't want to wait any longer. The food itself was dry and the cream fresh was off. I ordered the barritas with pastor amd it was horrible. Overall it was an awkward dinner out with the family amd I would not recommend it. P.s. No one else was in the restaurant so there was no excuse.

Simplemente una mala experiencia en todos los sentidos, desde que nos sentamos hasta la cuenta, de la comida solo rescatables las cáscaras de papa
I would have given them 5 stars had they not removed chicken from their menu, unless that was a experiment. Good food and drinks, equipal chairs, fast service.
We have been here several times over the years: it's where the locals eat. Located off the beach on the west side of the pier, La Piñata serves local style food at a reasonable price. It is a good place to eat outside on their patio, or watch a special sporting event on the big screen.
