Best Coctale de Camaron on beach ... very old fashioned local spot...far enough away from cruise ship crowds...insider secret spot!
A 5hr flight and a one hour bus ride to again enjoy the coco camerones here. Absolutely delicious. Sitting on the beach and having this meal is the best.

During our stay in Progresso from Nov 2016 until the end of April 2017, we enjoyed several meals at Carabela's. Not only was the food delicious but the service was very friendly and efficient. We can't wait to return and enjoy some new creations in the Fall. Keep up the great work!!!

This is a very nice restaurant on the main strip in Progreso Mexico. Clean with a fresh breeze from the water. There are seats on the sand catered to by the same staff. The good was very good. Shrimps wrapped in bacon with rice and small side salid. I had whole fresh fish deep fried, the green pepper is very hot so be warned. Several beer and a relaxing time with friends. The waiter spoke some English and recrited assistance to clarify one request Clean restrooms with all requirements provided. The price was reasonable. We will return as will our friends. Enjoy.
Great view of the malecon, and less expensive than the other restaurants. Good food and great drinks.
Food is amazing!! And very good price, the servers however expect you to tip a certain amount. We left a tip and the server came back to ask for more because we were supposed to leave more. The menu says they don’t charge tip or use of the palapas so beware of that, we didn’t realize this and paid for the palapas and later realized it when it was too late
Christian was an excellent waiter and spoke good English and gave us helpful Spanish courses. Presentation of food was great and taste was fantastic. Also very affordable. Coconut shrimp with a framed mango sauce, and baked shrimp with melted cheese and wrapped with bacon, $15 and go home rests!
A great place to eat on the beach. The fish and chicken dinners were great with cold beer. The staff was very friendly with great service. Preferred to eat on the promenade because of the gulls, but if they do not disturb You can then eat directly on the beach under parasols with equally good service.
