early dinner time seems like a good time to go without waiting long. they have a whole vegetarian side that the cheese and acid cream can be removed to be made vegan. the bons tacos, guacamole..all delicious. they give chips and salsa to begin with. I think it's just cash. in restaurant there is a breath. View all feedback.
What Aylin Kris doesn't like about Tortuga' S Mexican Village:
tortugas has another location in lambertville with superior eating. it is really a shame because this is a nice byob to gather friends and enjoy chips and salsa/guac. Perhaps the meat products are better, but every dish I tried is made with tasteless frozen or bad quality vegetables and without much creativity. I really want to like this place, but I'm always disappointed with eating. if they are vegan or not eating,... View all feedback.
The best thing about tortuga is the mauls! the vegetarian items are clearly marked and can be made easily vegan. my favorite is the combo plate where they can choose two or three elements with different combinations. vegetarian options for fillings are roasted black beans, roast pinto beans, guacamole, sawed vegetables and cheese all, but the cheese is vegan. on most articles they can get green sauce, red sauce or mol. the maul throw is amazing, but I can usually treat only one object with a maul throw because it is intense! another fantastic option is the village veggie sampler that has a herbal flotta, guacamole enchilada and bohnen burrito. it might be strange to comment on the bathroom, but every time I go into it, I am shocked how clean and extremely pleasant it is. I think that the payment of this attention to the bathroom is a good sign for the overall quality of the restaurant. eating here is incredible. I have never felt anything but enthusiastic and full. updated from previous review to 2017-05-11

The best thing about Tortuga is the mole! The vegetarian options are clearly labeled and can easily be made vegan. My favorite is the combo platter, where you can choose two or three items with different combinations. Vegetarian fillings include refried black beans, refried pinto beans, guacamole, sautéed vegetables, and cheese - everything except the cheese is vegan. You can also choose between green sauce, red sauce, or mole for most dishes. The mole is amazing, but it's intense so I can only handle one item with mole. Another great option is the Village Veggie Sampler, which includes a vegetable flauta, guacamole enchilada, and bean burrito. The bathroom is always clean and pleasant, which is a good indication of the restaurant's overall quality. The food here is incredible, I always leave feeling delighted and full.
Going for an early dinner is a great idea to avoid long waits. The restaurant has a whole page dedicated to vegetarian options, with the option to remove cheese and sour cream to make dishes vegan. The bean tacos and guacamole are particularly tasty. They provide chips and salsa as a starter. It is worth noting that they only accept cash, but there is an ATM inside the restaurant.
