What User doesn't like about Nassau Street Seafood:
I shop here every month and typically spend hundreds of dollars on fantastic fish, especially Chilean sea bass, halibut, and shrimp. I also appreciate the other products! However, tonight I purchased 10 shrimp to serve alongside some Chilean sea bass, and it was a terrible experience. The shrimp had a chemical smell before cooking, and after cooking, it emitted a strange plastic-like odor. No one could eat it. I’m us... View all feedback.
Customer service was not very good. I went in today to get Chilean Sea Bass who was extremely overpriced, $49lb. At first, the owner seemed like he didn't want to serve me, and then he seemed upset that I demanded something extra. I called before coming and the person who answered seemed very nice, but when I came there it was a completely different story.. I haven't tried the fish yet. It looked very fresh, but due to the unfriendly environment THAT I ENCOUNTERED. I will not come back. I will not consider my breath as an answer from the owner.

They will also quickly grill fish you buy, which is a great way to make a heart-healthy dinner very easily.
This place is exceptional. There 's a reason they have almost a perfect rating here. The selection of seafood is amazing, and everything is superb quality and always fresh. Moreover, the guys who work here really know their fish. You can ask them about any piece of fish in the place, they 'll tell you what it 's like, where it 's from, and even the best way to cook it. Some days I just walk in and say what 's good today? and they 'll recommend 4 or 5 things that stand out. But honestly, you could walk in here and blindly point at something behind the counter and you know it 's gonna be great. They also supply the fish for Blue Point Grill next door, same owners I believe, so if you 've been there (it 's amazing too) that 's the level of quality fish you can expect here. Absolute top shelf stuff.
Small walk-in Seafood place with fabulous lunch items. You can eat outside next door outside at Bluepoint grill. Ceviche Tacos are the best! Just as you imagined they should be. Fresh and healthy!
Excellent seafood and customer service. Very knowledgeable staff. Best fish tacos around!
