This Place was a long time nightclub and bar in Prince Rupert. Now the Wings are awesome and the choices are almost to many. Great place to watch a game and eat a ton of wings. Thursday is wing night and is when i usually go. Families can go till 2200/10 Pm then after that its 19 years and up. Its loud and im never there past 2200. View all feedback.
The restaurant had a lively atmosphere with good music and friendly service from the great staff. It is conveniently located downtown, close to hotels.
We ordered the 'Hub Platter' which included hot wings, shrimp, jalapeno poppers, and mozzarella sticks. We will definitely be going back; the food was great, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable.
This restaurant is amazing. The food is excellent and the drinks are out of this world.
The Hub Bar is relatively new in Prince Rupert, having officially opened its doors in 2015. It is, for all intents and purposes, part pub and part nightclub. What that means is The Hub is “family friendly” until 10pm; after that, the place turns into a happening nightclub. I’ve never stuck around for “after hours” and have only ever been here to eat some delightful food. What attracted me to this place was the large sign on the exterior of the building, which advertised the “best wings in the north.” Best wings in the north, you say? That’s a pretty tall order and I’m not entirely sure that’s true, but I can say – without hesitation – that The Hub definitely has the best wings in Prince Rupert. On the many occasions I’ve gone the wings have been cooked perfectly – tender, juicy and full of flavour. And what’s more, they have a plethora of flavours to choose from (30, in fact), and a few different wing types, inclusive of dry, saucy and hot. For my money, the “voodoo” wings are just right as they contain the perfect amount of “hot” – enough to give your mouth a little tingle, but not so hot that all you taste is “burning,” to quote Ralph Wiggum. But for those who are a bit more adventurous, The Hub also offers their “suicide” wing, which is equivalent to Wing’s famous “Bobby wing.” This wing, however, is just burning hot, i.e: you don’t get any flavour outside of the hot sauce. That said, The Hub isn’t just all about wings. They also offer your typical pub fare: chicken fingers, salads and various burgers. “The Hub Special” burger is a personal favourite of mine. Or, if burgers aren’t really your fancy, you can also try the (decent) fish and chips or the “pig wings” (a fun play on the chicken wing, though using pork). In short, the food is really good, but the service can be hit and miss: at times the staff are very attentive, while in other instances they seem very disengaged and disinterested. It’s a small gripe. The atmosphere of The Hub is certainly upbeat, but when I step into the building I cannot help but think I’ve gone back to the 1990s and entered a cosmic bowling alley. The dim lighting and neon lights that adorn the ceiling very much hearken back to such a time. If they managed to squeeze in a couple of bowling lanes, then the picture would be complete!FOOD: 4/5SERVICE: 2.75/5VALUE: 4/5RECOMMENDATION: As the signage suggests, come in for the wings as they are easily the best Rupert has to offer. The designated "wing night" also offers a much better value! Two thumbs up!
