This was our 1st time eating here for take out. I'm a little unsure why there were so many negative reviews saying that the people were rude because they were certainly not. We sat in there maybe 15 to 20 minutes waiting for our food to cook and they were very kind and greeted everybody that walked in. Food was very good and we will certainly be returning. We like a little bit extra sauce on our pizza so next time I... View all feedback.
What Courtenay W Brown doesn't like about Amore Pizzeria:
Ordered pizza to be delivered. 1...worst pizza ever. Undercooked, needed to be well-done, received cold and mushy. No contact at all with delivery, even after requesting they deliver to back door.Disappointed and Horribly disgusted. They should know to cook well done when delivering. I detest cold mushy underdone pizza. Bad bad bad View all feedback.
Small spot, big flavor! As a pizza enthusiast, I’ve tried countless pizzas from Richmond to Maryland, and I can confidently say this one is the best I've ever had. I discovered it purely by chance and now I gladly make a 30-minute drive just to enjoy their food. It’s absolutely delicious and incredibly affordable. Great value for an excellent meal!
However, today I decided to try the sandwiches for lunch. I placed my order online as usual, but when I arrived to pick it up, the order was incorrect. Normally, if my sandwich has vegetables that I didn’t want, I can just take them off. But with mayonnaise and salad dressing, that’s not really an option, so I asked for a remake. The employee I spoke to seemed annoyed by my request to have the sandwich made correctly. He initially tried to persuade me to accept the incorrect sandwich but eventually went back to the kitchen after I showed him my receipt, which clearly listed that the toppings and sauces should be on the side. While he was preparing my order, I could hear him complaining to a coworker, as if he thought I wouldn’t notice. When I got home and opened the to-go box, I found it filled with a few large chunks of brown lettuce, a single slice of tomato, and some onion slivers—definitely not enough to make a complete sandwich. As for the taste of the subs, they were disappointing. The deli meat resembled the overly processed bricks you find at low-end delis, and there were only two or three slices on half of a multi-meat sandwich. The meatball sub was equally bad, with what tasted like mass-produced meatballs and canned pasta sauce. The only reason I forced down half of a sandwich was that I had a long journey ahead—an hour in a cab, ten hours on a plane, and then two more hours on a train.
I must say... WOW! This pizza is absolutely delicious! I've traveled through several states and haven't had a pizza like this in years! You really have to give it a try!
I’m from Brooklyn NY and have had some excellent pizza. Amore has the best pizza I’ve had down here! The owners are very nice as well!
