We came just by chance strolling along the promenade and saw the many advertisements offered at Gonar only Croatian specialties. Actually it wasn't the plan to go to eat, but hey one is only once on holiday ️ the service was very friendly, nice and German-speaking. All dishes have 100% tastefully convinced. One of the best restaurants on the island. Great food good wine list and a friendly service.
Great view. The service was nice, when it got cold the staff brought out the blankets. It feels like a more upscale restaurant you can see they are trying to present the plates nicely, with white cloth tables etc. However, it's missing that final touch. Portions are small so I recommend ordering some starters. The dessert selection was good and as always need to finish with pancakes.

Das beste Restaurant auf der Insel und für uns weltklasse! Wir gehen viel essen, aber so einen Service haben wir noch nie erlebt. Egal was man bestellt hat, es war ausnahmslos gut. Jeder der auf Rab ist, sollte dieses Restaurant besuchen. Und die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist einfach wunderschön. Wir vermissen das Gonar und Rab sehr, kommen aber definitiv nächstes Jahr wieder und werden wahrscheinlich fast jeden Tag nur im Gonar essen.
