The... read more The Basil Lily is an amazing restaurant with fantastic staff and owners. It has a very cheerful and inviting atmosphere where you can meet wonderful people. So much so that when I spend time in Tuscany each year I can't stand their authentic... read more Great bar staff and damn.... have you tried their Panzanella. It's amazing. So much so that when I spend time in Tuscany each year I can't stand their authentic panzanella in Siena that has soggy bread. To think that an Italian bar in Prestwich has gotten me loving panzanella! And if that wasn't enough, they have one of the nicest non-Belgian beers I've tasted in Manchester. It's the Italian Spaghetti Western beer but I gave to watch how much of it I drink as it's around 8.5%. When with friends who don't drink beer, they can enjoy a refreshing April Spritzer.

Transport links, supermarkets and crime rates are all well and good, but without a bit of life.. well, what’s the point? Basil Lily offers great wine and great food served by a friendly, chatty team. Winner.
