If you haven't been a regular for 20 or 30 years, you're likely to feel quite unwelcome here. It’s the only pub at the top of the town, but it’s definitely worth taking a stroll to find somewhere else. The atmosphere is truly disappointing.

If you haven't been there in 20 or 30+ years (or if it's your first visit), you'll feel incredibly welcome. It's the only pub at the top of town, but it's definitely worth the walk from other areas. The company is truly enjoyable, and the food is excellent. The staff are outstanding, and the regulars become really friendly once you take the time to get to know them. There's also a great selection of reasonably priced drinks. I believe that genuine, respectful individuals are more appreciated here than self-absorbed attention-seekers, though I could be mistaken.
