I would have rated this restaurant five stars if it were entirely vegan. Out of the 16 items on the menu, only two contained milk cheese; the rest were all vegan. We had a wonderful time overall—great value, quick service, and the staff were lovely. I would definitely return to try more dishes. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tammy's Borek:
Everything is clearly labelled as VG if vegan. There seemed to be a large variety of vegan items. I tried the vegan cheese and spinach borek and I really liked the flavour. Nice and fresh and cheap too. I also had the semolina cake and baklava. They were both nice with my favourite being the baklava. We sat outside and ate it there. It was a lovely thing to do on a Sunday. View all feedback.
We have tried all the Boreks available to order via delivery and oh my god they are all delicious. My fave is the vegan mushroom and cheese, the firecracker and the vegan cheese and spinach They're Great reheated late or the next day in a sandwich press too! Such good value too, great small business. Edit from March 2022 Ordered again from this wonderful business and again we were delivered delicious boreks, and even a delicious free Turkish doughnut. Can't recommend enough! Updated from previous review on 2022-03-23

All vegetarian and vegan now!!! Vegan Turkish food is not easy to find, and to find it this good is a blessing. This place is owned and operated by a lovely vegan mother and daughter, who are charming and make a such delicious food! I tried one of the Boreks and a Gozleme, and they were the best! They also make coffee. I wish I had the option of giving them five stars. A true gem! *Update I have been back a few times now and have sampled more delights. First and foremost, Tammy’s coffee is crazy good! It turns out she has won awards for her coffee making skills! I have tried various sweet and savoury pastries, and wow are they seriously awesome! Tammy makes this pastry called Simit. This is a pastry with just the slightest hint of sweetness and is one of the most delicious pastries ever. Perfect with a coffee or tea. My new favourite savoury pastry is the cheese and spinach, and the kale one is also very delicious. The vegan options are growing and seem to be very popular. My tip is to try and go early so as not to miss out on the variety. Updated from previous review on 2021 04 24
The food is so good. My partner and I tried the mushroom gozleme, vegan spinach cheese borek, cabbage rolls, pisi, baklava and vegan lamb borek. Absolutely loved it all but I do wish they had a different vegan lamb instead of just tvp. Like some good herby seitan or something. Like the amazing vegan lamb radicle foods or cornish arms used to have. Or the viana brand lamb or fable! I am happy they've gone vegetarian now, I hope they go vegan one day and ditch the cheese dairy milk. Good to see they are so busy and survived lockdowns! I wanted to visit when there was 5km limits but couldn't! We will be back for sure!
Staff is super lovely and their Borek are mostly vegan and sooooo good !!! Perfect treat while doing your shopping
