Contribute FeedbackThe Plough at Eaves presents a beautifully decorated venue, but reviews of the culinary offerings reveal inconsistencies. While some diners praise the vibrant atmosphere and attentive service, particularly on busy nights, others criticize the quality of ingredients, with comparisons to supermarket fare. Successful dishes like the Sunday roast and mixed grill stand out, but several were disappointed by undercooked items and overly sweet desserts. Despite positive service encounters, frustrations with booking and communication have led some to seek alternatives. Ultimately, experiences diverge, making it a hit-or-miss dining destination.
I tried to contact the Plough at Eaves by phone on thursday 25th Jan. at least 8 times using the phone listed on the web site, and another number which was quoted for the Plough. one was continualy giving he engaged tone, (this was between 5pm and 9pm), and the other phone was ringing out no answer. Meanwhile I tried to book using the on-line booking service, submitted my request, and 24 hours later still not had a response. Whats going on? Not exactly confidence inspiring, is it. I cancelled my booking request and booked the Stags at Goosnargh. Pull your socks up!
My friend and I visited for a meal on a busy xmas Saturday night last weekend and although we had pre booked there was a mix up and we weren't in the system. After sorting us a spot in the restaurant the manager (Michael went above and beyond to look after us and we had a lovely meal and a great night. Even though they were busy he went out of his way to ensure we got what we wanted from the menu. All our food was hot and delicious, and the chef made me a fresh gluten free meal which was much appreciated (lamb shank very yummy! . We will definitely be back and again thanks to Michael and the team for looking after us :
Finally paid a visit since the refurb, pleasant warm welcome. We both had the pie option it was delicious, lovely table by the fire the atmosphere around the bar seemed lovely. The decor ambience is exactly what’s needed around these villages. Well done to you.
