I have visited this restaurant before. It is usually decent, but the staff always seemed eager to clear tables even if not everyone in the group had finished eating. Now, maybe not a menu, no atmosphere, no conversation/confidence of waitress. no offer of water/soft drink in an unlicensed operation. cold toast and butter (dinner) no brotrolle? eier mayonnaise over boiled eggs. “Cottage-style mushrooms” %.?- veg suppe mmm with. coloured heaps? “Roast meat choices” braided lamb with powdered gravure, “Aunt Bessie’s bratkartoffeln, “Smash”, cheese sauce, brokkoli and carrots. I had no sherry, no custard. on the other side it had “Tream topping” and bestreute interesting. coffee and cookies. coffee? he immediately coffee probably nescafé said that. we took our own weeping. we have left “complete” yes. I do not get the other reviews here and I do not have “mean to be mean” etc. but it was fun. Definitiw no skin kitchen and gordon ramsey would have a “f” melt. I dare try it!
My wife and two friends dined here on Saturday we had a wonderful evening and the food was outstanding the main course is a choice of four traditional roast dinners not a massive choice but the quality was perfect, we had a course...meal for the unbelievable price of per head and you take your own drinks (glasses provided) the service was second to none. We will be definitely going back and I recommend this for anyone looking for good food and pleasant surroundings.
Very friendly and welcoming. Menu limited but food and hot, always good and I and friends generally visit once a week.

However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. The waitress was unfriendly and almost rude. The meals and drinks were placed on the table loudly, without a smile or any conversation. The potatoes were roasted in old fat and the carrots and peas tasted like they were from a tin. I will not be returning. This restaurant really needs to improve and hire staff who genuinely want to serve the customers.
