What Ben B doesn't like about Roots:
The restaurant was not very clean and had poor hygiene practices. The cutlery was dirty and we had to clean it ourselves with wipes. The chef used her apron to dry her hands, which were covered in mayo or salad cream, after coming out of the kitchen for salt. We live really close to Roots Cafe and it’s fair to say that it had become a bit unloved. The new team have done a fantastic refurbishment (after getting lots of advice and feedback from cycling clubs and customers). It feels fresh, bright and clean and the garden is much improved.
