The fish was fresh with a slightly crispy batter, and the chips were perfectly cooked! The restaurant was welcoming and charming, filled with photos and memories of Preston. View all feedback.
What Socks doesn't like about Lune Street Fish Chips:
Oh dear ...called in here ...unfortunately not impressed ...service was brilliant but we ordered fish chips and peas twice ...tea and coffee lovely and refreshing But what ever they had cooked the fish in and the chips in left a taste that repeated for several hours after ...would we return ...sorry NO ! This used to be a great chippy, now its gone down hill, when the fish fryer has to constantly rely on a thermometer and it still comes out pale, and chips constantly tested if ready between his fingers YUK. Not the place it used to be to be honest. Avoid lite bite fish and chips its child's portion at best. Won't be going back as the guy cooking didn't seem to have a clue (Thursday) what he was doing, also staff kept going out for cigarettes through service.
I have been here numerous times. Food excellent, shop spotless. Staff bend over backwards to help. Always receive a hearty Lancashire welcome. Best chippy in the city
I'll be short and sweet. Incredible value, best chips I've tasted in years. Fresh, hot and tasty. Seriously, chips and curry sauce for a ! Can't fault it.
We go here on a regular basis and never had a bad meal fish is cooked to order chips are done in smaller batches so chips always fresh
I visited here with me wife on Saturday and we had a lovely chippy dinner, the food was good, the service was good and it was cheap too.
