Afternoon Tea At The Heritage Cafe

Poor selection for the price. Only one side plate and knife supplied per person, 2 would have been better ie 1 for savoury items and a separate 1 for the scone/cream/jam

Lovely setting, lovely venue. Food was presented beautifully. Just 1 critism, why can't your sandwiches be plain instead of pickle on cheese, ham and mustard and tuna with cucumber. Instead do a small side salad. On the plus side the cakes and scones were delicious.

I do not recommend this venue for afternoon tea. Poor value for money. Weird fillings like smoked salmon sandwiches and sausage rolls with black pudding. Worse was they gave the same to the children. They would not eat and only had a little cake each. Also they tried to say although we had tea or coffee, no drink for the children without paying extra. They did give them a drink after we complained. It ruined Mother’s Day for us. The venue did refund the price of the children a few days later as we were so unhappy

Lovely afternoon. Food was delicious. Had a stroll round the hall afterwards. Would recommend and definitely plan to go again. Inspired to try some of their other menu's also.

Very good mix of sweet and savoury. Unlimited tea too. Very impressed
