Woody's Grand Lake - Presque Isle

Our experience was outstanding. The fish was perfectly prepared, and we enjoyed some local Austin Brothers beers on tap. Even though it was Labor Day weekend during a pandemic, we felt comfortable and safe in the restaurant. All the servers wore masks, and everyone was clearly doing their best. The restaurant was spacious and spotless. If that’s not sufficient for some, they should consider ordering takeout or staying home.

I rated Woodys a 4 because I believe they will improve over time. They've only been open for about two weeks, so it's expected that they are still working out some issues. While their beer selection isn't extensive, it offers enough variety to please both domestic and craft beer enthusiasts. The location and atmosphere are lovely, making it a great addition to the Grand Lake area, and I hope both locals and travelers frequent it. The menu is currently limited, as they seem to be experimenting to find what works best for the summer season. The food prices feel a bit high for the portion sizes, so I'm hoping that will change. The establishment features a nice bar as well as table seating for both large and small groups, although the overall seating isn't particularly spacious. I believe it will be a popular spot in the winter, especially for those coming in from snowmobiling.

A fantastic new addition to the Grand Lake area! The service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. Both the café and the restaurant offer the best food around. I would highly recommend it!

I've been on wood many times. Whenever I'm gone, I got a fast and delightful waitress. The food was amazing. Prices were reasonable and I had great fun every time. I recommend Woodys. The fried ones are immaculate.

Woody's is not only situated for lake watching while you dine, but the restaurant's interior design feels like your favorite Up North lodge. The thoughtfulness to detail is wonderful just ask if you want to know the history of the tree rounds decorating the wall. The food is very good as well. I ordered clam strips they are mostly meat with light breading instead of the other way around. Cannot wait to work my way through the menu. I'm so glad they are in my backyard! Woody's is a must if you're in the neighborhood.
