This is our first time trying a... read more Recently moved from California to a small town an hour from here and I so badly miss having easily accessible chain restaurants. This is our first time trying a Ruby Tuesdays (Applebees is more common on the west coast I think) and it was a good experience. Obviously not 5 star food, pretty much like any other chain restaurant food where 3/4th of the menu is fancy microwave dinners but is still delicious so you go anyway. The staff was friendly and attentive. This will probably become a regular stop for us when we come into Presque Isle to shop.

Food: 3 stars (it’s essentially a decent burger place). Salad bar: all the stars in the night sky. The service was incredibly slow, even though I was one of only two customers. It took a full hour for them to prepare my burger and fries. I made three visits to the salad bar and still had to wait an additional half hour for my lunch. I only saw my waiter once after placing my order, so I couldn't even get a water refill. On the bright side, the food is excellent—offering burgers, fish, steak, and a few other choices. The salad bar is outstanding, featuring more than a dozen options for toppings. It’s truly the best salad bar within a 150-mile radius! Unfortunately, the restaurant is attached to an old shopping mall that is entirely empty and closed off, so you can’t stroll through the main hall after your meal. However, the deserted area means there’s always plenty of parking available right by the restaurant.
