Black Horse - PRESEZZO

Even though we had a reservation we still had to wait for our table for 15 minutes. It was really crowded with tables and chairs all over no space between to walk. It smelled awful could’ve been someone took off his shoes.... it’s more of a family oriented restaurant rather than a couples. The pizza were great despite all that .

After everyone told us how great the food would be in Italy, Venice and Treviso were disappointing. But the Black Horse redeemed the whole experience. The dining area is bright and welcoming, and the decor is from all over the world...collected by the owners on their annual trips. Especially fun is the money wall, featuring bills and coins from all over the world. We had lunch of pizza with a perfectly crispy crust, and perfect toppings. They have SIX kinds of flour to choose from for your crust, and 3-4 cheeses. Dessert was a beautiful semifreddo. I should mention that, although we are not gluten-free, the pizzas, deserts and pastas can all be ordered gluten free! We enjoyed it so much, we returned for dinner with a plate of sliced meats, a perfectly thin and flavorful focaccia, and handmade calsoncelli for our main course. Dessert was tiramisu and tiramisu gelato...wow! The staff was exceptionally friendly and warm as well...even the pizza guys! We arrived late for lunch and the restaurant was closed when we finished. The staff were all eating and chatting together, and I felt like I was in somebody's home...laughing, eating and chatting. Bergamo is a beautiful and underrated place. Black Horse was an easy walk from Hotel Settocento, and well worth the drive from other places. Grazie, Black Horse!

Just stopped here one evening for ice cream while staying at Settecento Hotel. Lovely terrace. Staff really helpful and attentive. Really good value

It was far 2017 when I had dinner here, but I remember it with a lot of pleasure until now PIZZA BUONISSIMA and DOLCE DELIZIOSO
