We stayed with friends at the steakhouse the Red Deer of the Hotel. Mi dispiace aver letto tutte le recensioni negative e essere arrivata un po' scettica. Ma noi ci siamo trovati benissimo questa sera. Camerieri cortesi, piatti squisiti. La carne di ottima qualità davvero.. e i prezzi ASSOLUTAMENTE NELLA NORMA!!!!!!
We stayed tonight (January 4th) at Steakhouse Cervo Rosso, inside the Massif hotel, Courmayeur and we really enjoyed it! We are a family of 4 people, with two children, and feedback from all 4 is definitely positive. First of all, a welcome and a service worthy of the restaurant level, host of a 5-star hotel, the excellent quality of raw materials (meat in this case), an effective starter, a good wine card (I would insert however more local wines, which are excellent, without having to go necessarily in Piedmont). We particularly enjoyed the kindness and competence of Maitre, Alberto, who has welcomed us for most of the dinner. Despite the restaurant was full, the service was punctual, precise, no smear. And the cost is reasonable, comparable to other Courmayeur restaurants, but they offer service and quality less than the Red Deer. The next step is to try the Chatif, always within the hotel Massif.

Stay away!
We had dinner here during our stay at Le Massif. We found poor environment, with shot lights and connecting room with other environments. Very little interesting card for a steakhouse in the mountains: no deer or other mountain options, mainly bets on tomahawk and bonnet. Wine map of the least honest I have ever seen, only for example a burnt at 70€ or a Badia a passignano 95€. The worst in all: cut of hard, fat phenol, I had to leave 3/4. Payed 45€, never paid so much. Reported the problem, no discount. Absolutely to avoid.
Honestly, they don't even deserve a star. I would like to write a very long review explaining all the inconvenience but I would only poison the blood. If you want to go and make fun of yourself, spend and get out of the house is the best place. Warning: if you book and tell you that there is live music do not believe us!
