This evening our culinary adventure took us to the Lighthouse , the hotel 's own restaurant, which enticed us with its location on the picturesque Bay of Kotor... read more This evening our culinary adventure took us to the Lighthouse , the hotel 's own restaurant, which enticed us with its location on the picturesque Bay of Kotor and a tempting French menu. For 35 euros we were treated to a promise of fine dining that was partially kept, although it left room for improvement. The menu began with a bouillabaisse that was visually and olfactorily convincing, but was disappointing in terms of taste due to excessive salt and intensity. The presentation of the soup, served over carefully arranged seafood, was an eye catcher, but the practical implementation during consumption especially the removal of the mussel meat left a lot to be desired. The main course, turbot on a kind of ratatouille vegetable accompanied by white wine, was well cooked, although the taste was a bit reserved. The vegetables lacked the characteristic spice of a classic ratatouille, which required subsequent salting. An unexpected encounter with fish bones further spoiled the experience. The choice of cheese as an intermediate course showed courage and a good eye for presentation, even if small details such as the removal of grape seeds suggested even greater care. The chocolate mousse and the apple tart rounded off the menu, with the mousse in particular standing out with its full bodied taste and crunchy nut base. What should be highlighted is the exceptional service, which shone with attentiveness and professionalism a level that you would otherwise only expect in significantly higher award winning establishments. The ambience and the selection of dishes also contributed positively to the overall experience. Although the restaurant still has room for improvement in terms of refinement and taste balance, the creative approaches and the excellent price performance ratio make it a worthwhile visit. The breathtaking location on the shores of the Bay of Kotor also gives the “Lighthouse” an incomparable atmosphere. Recommended for those who want to experience the charm of the bay with culinary delights.

Food and wine were d... read more We went here for birthday dinner and all we can say is that this is one of the best places in Montenegro to celebrate your special moments! Food and wine were delicious (don’t skip Montenegro mezze for two, Tuna steak and Grilled octopus! , atmosphere was great and service was beyond perfect. We also got a wonderful birthday surprise from the restaurant staff. For sure we will come back again! Service: Dine in
