What Liza Berrey doesn't like about Smith-byrd House Bed And Breakfast And Tea Room:
Very disappointed. Drove an hour to get there and was told it was by reservation only. Google took me there with no problem. Did not look like the pictures on the website so I was not even sure it was open until some ladies walked out. Was meet at the door by a gentleman that made it clear I was not welcome unless I had a reservation. So I went to Fox pizza and had a great meal. View all feedback.
My daughters and I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tea Room and we were all thoroughly impressed. From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious food and excellent service, everything was top notch. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Visiting the Tea Room has become a monthly tradition for us. The staff members are incredibly friendly and attentive. We have thoroughly enjoyed every tea we have tried. Ms. Beth's food recommendations are superb and her dishes are outstanding. I strongly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. We will definitely be returning often.
Amazing experience...felt like I stepped into a Victorian time warp....I even had DREAMS of this place...felt like I've been there before...one thing needs improvement...I noticed outside to the side there was once an herb garden but was dreadfully grown over...I'd love to see it come to life again!
My friend and neighbor Karen has been many times. We’ve decided we’re going once per month now. My first time today and I loved it!!
Took my grandmother for Queen’s Tea and we loved it! Over 100 loose leaf tea options and we tried at four during our visit, all were delicious. The scones were fresh and delicious! Yummy finger sandwiches, quiche, and desserts. The whole visit was so nice. The whole place was decorated for Christmas and the proprietor gave us the history of the house. The tea was really excellent served hot and they kept on top of service. We were a little nervous about the obvious work being done to the house when we pulled up, but trust me this place is worth the visit.Food drinks: Started with house salad and quiche, both were delicious. We had the Queen’s Tea, each sandwich was different and really worth trying. We really loved the fresh scones with lemon curd. The best was the tea though which was served hot but drinkable and since it was bottomless you could try different blends. They even sell tea in the gift shop.
