We must have had more than 15 dishes, including spicy polpo, marinated mussels, delicious seafood risotto etc. Everything comes in generous tapas style portions. Not only was it utterly unique, exciting and delicious, but we only paid €70 for three (one child), including wine. To top it off, the staff are really lovely and very happy to talk you through the dishes. We will definitely be back.
It’s a decent restaurant when it’s not busy some of the plates it’s excellent but other plates are poor in the making The restaurant has one menu they bring you a lot of the southern seafood and shellfish good appetizers mixed in a quick race all of the sudden you find yourself with 4-5 plates with all different things in it with 3 primi piatti 2 of them are excellent one it’s bad: the risotto alla pescatora comes with pieces of shrimps still covered by the shell and the riso is “scotto” so when you bite in the risotto you will find the shrimp shell in your mouth and plus the rice not cooked right or cooked too much, it’s not a good feeling then, they also bring you a frittura di pesce that also has issues: the fish comes fried too much and packed with fish bones and even for me being a Neapolitan I had hard time to eat it also the wine could be better siamo in Italia a Pozzuoli provincia di Napoli c’mon you can find decent bottles for 3-4 euros so I suggest don’t go on a weekend and avoid Risotto and the frittura di pesce and ask if they have better wine. For us it was the same: risotto and frittura both times left us not happy. Please take the shell out before putting the shrimp in the risotto and keep an eye when frying the fish it should be easy specially if you do that everyday
The antipasta is sparse or “finished. The salty risotto has only shells of fish and no fresh seafood. The house wine is water. The chocolate on my dessert was stale. The grappa offered at the end was “barricata” but the color of vodka and the taste of the water mixed in. This is clearly a place for friends and family of the staff and to be avoided otherwise. Unfortunate as it looked to be authentic.
