Il Capitello - POZZUOLI

We wanted to dine in the area because we like the view. We were seated and menus were brought to us. When the waitress returned questions were asked of her about the seafood. She explained to us they purchase their fish locally and fresh every morning. The food was fresh, well seasoned and prepared. I read a couple of negative reviews and can honestly say we didn’t encounter any such thing they mentioned. Our experience was positive and we will go back.

My first meal on my trip to Pozzuoli. I'd heard wonderful things about the pasta and pizza here so couldn't wait to tuck in to the local cuisine. I ordered the seafood linguine with high hopes. What arrived 30 mins later was a small portion of undercooked spaghetti with 2 mussels and a few broken seashells scattered on top with no sauce. My meal had a dark curly hair with some skin attached to it mixed in visibly with the pasta so I lost my appetite and couldn't eat. My partner ate their hairless pasta and said it tasted very salty. I explained to the waiter that one of his hairs was in my food and he mixed it up with a fork and shrugged as if it was OK to eat now. We were still charged for the untouched spaghetti and service charge on top. He then pretended not to understand when we asked for the 6 euro change we didn't get that back either. The food and service here was so disappointing avoid at all costs!

Great value for money! genuine and fresh products cooked at the moment very well. cordiality and courtesy recommended!

We were really satisfied. genuine flavors and abundance of dishes. they have ordered: home appetizers, shovels, squid frying and shrimp, sorbet, sweet, coffee and bitter. owner very kind. excellent value for money. we will definitely return

We chose this restaurant at random, the view was beautiful there we had a very good lunch, the fish was fresh and whole for a modest price my pasta was really a good time
