Yak At The Crown - Powys

I recently enjoyed a delicious Nepali curry at this restaurant, which was a pleasant departure from the usual Indian fare. The squid, shrimp, and chicken dishes were all excellent as well. The restaurant is a bit tucked away from the noisy pub area, although at times the noise can be a bit overwhelming. Despite this, the food is definitely worth it!

The restaurant is located at the Rosen and Crown. They serve Nepalese cuisine that was absolutely delicious and filled with amazing aromas. The food was genuine and authentic Nepalese. It's great to have such delicious alternative curries. I am already looking forward to going back.

Shyam has taken over The Crown Pub Kitchen and I am thrilled to have found authentic Nepalese food here. The squid starter was uniquely seasoned and perfectly cooked, while the king prawns in delicious sauce were also a standout. The mountain lamb curry was full of Nepalese spices and had delicate meat, while my son's Thai green curry had homemade paste that gave it a superior flavor compared to other UK Thai curries. The menu is affordable and takeaway options are available. I can't wait to return!
