We had planned to have lunch at this restaurant after surfing and visiting the Wednesday market. Unfortunately, we arrived late in the afternoon instead of earlier, so many menu items were already sold out. However, the food we did have was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed delicious Kati rolls, a wiper, and falafel, all of which were very flavorful. The woman running the stall was lovely, and it was clear that the stall was an important part of the market. It's a shame we didn't arrive earlier, as I would have loved to try everything on the menu. I highly recommend this place.
I had two chili rotis and one kartoffel roti with two vegetable samosas. They were fantastic and freshly cooked to order.
We have always thought to visit, but never made it to last week! I told the lady that this was my first visit and she could explain the menu. she was very friendly and chatting and ran through her menu and I was. so tried that I bought the potato pack, slicewrap, samosa and garlic potatoes. the packs are freshly cooked. they are rolled out before them and cooked to order. I noticed that locals buy a lot of food. probably take them back to work to share with their colleagues. we took the food home and divided it. all the dishes were so delicious. I will make a special point at the next visit to machynlleth. I suggest, too.
Shirley cooks this all from scratch at home, including making her own paneer cheese. Really lovely kati rolls. Always interesting conversation. Warning: there will be a significant wait at lunchtimes, but she does have chairs to sit on and it is definitely worth it.
