Menu

On this site, you will find the complete menu of Upper Rectory from Powys. Currently, there are 10 dishes and drinks available.

Upper Rectory presents a mixed dining experience, reflecting both remarkable highs and frustrating lows. While some patrons have lauded the restaurant for its exceptional seven-course tasting menu and attentive service, others encountered issues with takeaway ordering and underwhelming dishes. Highlights include the use of locally sourced ingredients and beautifully presented meals, embodying a genuine commitment to quality. However, inconsistencies in food quality and awkward service can tarnish the experience for some. Overall, while the restaurant has garnered a loyal following, potential diners may wish to approach with caution, balancing expectations against the varied reviews.

Was Clairebearbethany at Upper Rectory a mag?
We were looking for a special menu with a lot of options for a friend's milestone birthday, and Upper Rectory came through. They were unfazed by last-minute dietary restrictions or requests for something extra special, showing true flexibility and genuine care. I was also impressed by their use of locally sourced ingredients and the generous portions. Thank you! View all feedback.

What Ursula G dislikes about Upper Rectory:
Tried to make an order for takeaway and informed that the order had to be in by the previous Wednesday. Looked at the menu again and nowhere is that mentioned. Sorry, Upper Rectory, your loss. You won't see me try again and you will have a slating when people ask my opinion. View all feedback.

Tried the eat at home menu a few times over the last year and also Christmas day too. Really excellent food, easy to follow instructions on how best to serve. Food beautiful presented and canapes a real treat whilst waiting for our food to heat. Christmas day was a close to eating out as we could get. Highly recommend and cannot wait to book again

Decided to try the takeaway menu and so glad we did excellent cuisine, well packaged and easy to heat up. The deserts were to die for, will definitely be ordering again. Thank you

Like many others, I celebrated my birthday during lockdown and had originally planned to go out to a restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the meal we were able to enjoy at home. It was beautifully packaged and presented with clear heating instructions that even my partner could follow. The food was delicious and memorable.
