Contribute FeedbackThis quaint bistro in the heart of mid Wales offers a limited yet tasty menu for a quick stop during travels. Despite the limited food options, the service received was unwelcoming and abrupt - a definite downside. However, other visitors have praised the staff for friendliness and cleanliness of the establishment, making it a pleasant spot for a break in the journey. Customers have also noted the pet-friendly environment and welcoming restroom facilities. Overall, while there have been some negative experiences, the general consensus is that this bistro is a charming pit stop for those passing through the area.
It was around when we popped in for some late lunch. The hot food menu is limited to sandwich filling options, which you can have different ways, as a sandwich or toasties. Or egg or beans on toast or egg, sausage or...bacon on toast. We didn't mind the limited food options but it was the service that soured the visit. The service from the start was unsmiling, curt and abrupt. We felt unwelcome.
Friendly staff. Tables cleaned after every sitting. Toilet and wash basin clean. Spacious indoor seating. Benches provided outside under cover. Freshly decorated. Ample parking. Tasty Welsh cakes and coffee. Small area for local crafts. Thank you.
Travelling back from North Wales on the on Friday September, we were desperate for a quick pit stop of coffee, tea and some lunch. We saw the sign alongside the and followed it, not sure what to expect. Had a lovely surprise!...Georgina quickly served us with delicious paninis and hot drinks and was even kind enough to supply a cheesy present that had been forgotten about (she'll know when she reads this we really appreciated it The toilets were clean and covid precautions all taken, staff friendly and welcoming. Many thanks Georgina. I'd recommend you to anyone in the area.
Clean, well kept, friendly and with a nice range of cakes and savouries. Barra Brith was lovely. we also had some lovely paninis. Well situated straight by the road if youre travelling to or from holidays, as we were. Good car park next to cafe.
We were traveling through mid Wales and stumbled upon this place for Breakfast. Food was good honest tasty cafe style and great value. The Covid rules were in place and everybody obeyed them. Toilets were clean. Nice car park outside. If I lived closer I...would use it again.
