a mix of Jamaican and Welsh food to tempt the taste buds. if they ask them nicely, they will add or reduce the spice to match their taste buds. my flat ribs were very delicate, but the sauce was somewhat saltier than my usual. the chef was about to move, but was happy to stay back and cook for us. thanks to him and alex for his cheerful service. What Sue F dislikes about Horse Shoe Inn:
I stayed at the restaurant for one night in a twin room, which was quite small. The toilet seat was loose and needs to be fixed. However, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast room was charming and had a great selection of food. View all feedback.

Charming and cozy little pub with very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The Jamaican food is absolutely delicious!
We had the crispy beef and salad starters both of which wrt excellent, the salad was nice and fresh. Beef rib main was amazing with a nice jerk gravy. Service was friendly beers were kept well. We had a really nice experience.
We live locally and have done for a few years the first time we’ve actually managed to eat out here and for Sunday lunch which was fantastic, just right portion wise and cooked perfectly. Better than the other places we’ve tried in the local area. Vegetarian options looked good too.
Friendly bar staff and a lovely host serving food. An old Inn full of character and charm. The food was a fusion of British and Caribbean. I had the oxtail which was excellent and my wife had the beet burger.
Excellent food , excellent service and although the lady behind the bar was on her own we were not kept waiting , really nice atmosphere well done
Nestled near the canal, this charming pub offers a unique blend of Jamaican and Welsh cuisine, delighting visitors with its vibrant atmosphere and excellent service. Diners rave about delicious offerings like jerk flat ribs, goat curry, and fish and chips, complemented by well-kept ales. While the staff is generally welcoming and friendly, inconsistent service experiences have been noted, occasionally dampening enthusiasm. Overall, the pub's ambiance, quality dishes, and local vibe make it a worthwhile stop for those seeking a memorable meal, though some recommend caution with reservations and service consistency. A gem worth discovering for any food lover.

Turned up late for Sunday service with 1 coeliac in tow .. they accommodated us admirably. The chef came out to discuss options and the food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was lovely and the pub was full of all ages.. and dogs! There was a live band playing (not loud enough to stop conversation) and we’d go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend
Fabulous pub, delicious food, and lovely rooms. Can't wait to return.
Absolutely fabulous food, probably some of the best I have ever eaten. The Jerk rib is so tender! The King prawn curry is served in a scooped out pineapple and looks amazing. The bar serves a great selection of beers and wine. Definitely a place to return to.
The Horse Shoe Inn was a great find, so good we came back three times in a few days!! The Jamaican-Welsh food is absolutely delicious, the people were lovely and they even had a big projector for the rugby semi-finals. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful little pub beer close to the canal. Had many choices on the menu that would have been wonderful but had a chicken/leek pie and fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce that was the best ever! Both excellent choices. Cold beer and lots of locals.. Always a good sign!
