Fantastic! I came for a prosecco afternoon tea with three friends. I hadn't been in over a year, and it has definitely changed and become even more quirky. The staff were very friendly! What User dislikes about The Bay Tree:
beautiful teeroom, but not all employees are very welcoming! I think we were overloaded as we paid for tee, I think I read from the menu the full breakfast inc tee? also there was an element lacking in the breakfast! beautiful environment, but must work on the little things that customers feel great when they want to return View all feedback.

We just love popping in here for lunch of just tea and a slice. The decor is fun, quirky and we love the vintage bits n bobs and music. The food is lovely. Well presented and delicious. Staff are friendly and chatty. Highly recommended if you are peckish whilst in Welshpool.
Very friendly staff, fabulous home made cakes and value for money. Will try the food next visit. Love the decoration and little touches, a real must when visiting Welshpool- what a gem!
First visit and will certainly be back..wonderful decor, zoned with different themes, we sat in the Alice in wonderland area. Tasty, reasonablly priced food and very attentive friendly staff..gem of a place.
Went in for a light lunch. Choose the cheese, ham mayo wrap and it was amazing, served with salad coleslaw and chips. Washed down with a quality coffee. Great quality and polite, helpful staff.
Nestled in Welshpool, this charming cafe and tea room captivates with its eclectic decor and inviting atmosphere. Diners rave about the generous portions and beautifully presented dishes, featuring a delectable selection of homemade cakes and light lunches. The staff, known for their friendliness and attentiveness, enhance the experience, making both visitors and their furry companions feel welcome. While some guests noted minor service inconsistencies, the overall sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive. With its vintage ambiance and unique themes, this hidden gem offers a delightful escape for tea enthusiasts and food lovers alike, making it a must-visit destination.

I visited the area looking for a quick meal and a coffee. A local recommended The Bay Tree as a unique option compared to the chain restaurants on the main street. And let me tell you, it was a fantastic suggestion! The staff were incredibly friendly and effortlessly met our needs. The decor downstairs was quirky and fun, while the upstairs had an elegant, contemporary twist on art deco. The food was amazing - we shared Welsh rarebit and parmesan truffle oil sweet potato fries, along with two Americano coffees. Everything was delicious, and we have no doubt we will be back when we're in the area again.
