Recently visited here for breakfast with my family. The restaurant is small in terms of space and I can imagine if everyone had a trolley it would be hectic and cramped. Service was really good, couldn’t fault it at all. Food So, my boys and me both ordered the big breakfast, it was lovely presentation and given your in a supermarket cafe the food itself was lovely. What Sonia Khan doesn't like about Tesco Cafe:
This cafe used to be well run, with good food and very competent staff. It is now hopeless. One can wait half an hour for a cup of coffee and that when there are only two customers in there! They also cannot seem to...get the order right and even take your money and fifteen minutes later say that they do not have the food ordered. Cannot face going there again. View all feedback.

My wife had scrambled eggs on toast which she said was lovely, the scrambled eggs didn’t look watery at all. Downside The only downside I have for the cafe is that the branded drinks are expensive, £1.09 for a can of Coke Zero to me is expensive. Overall we loved it and will definitely be back again
There is a sad monotonous predictably about most supermarket cafes. The cafe in Tesco Newtown manages to rise above the pack and deliver good food at a very reasonable price. I think it’s the bespectacled chef who clearly takes a pride in delivering the prescriptive Tesco menu to a standard unmatched by other versions of the same. I should know as I’ve tried a few of them from Wick to Weston. We are regulars here because it’s a bad idea to shop hungry.
First time using. Kids are for free and the food was good quality. We waited 5 minutes to be served and while I appreciate the young lad was working hard by himself; he should have turned around and advised he’d be with us shortly but he just blanked us.
Management need to make an executive decision to ban shopping trolleys from the eating area. On my last visit there were five women each with an empty shopping trolley taking up an inordinately large amount of gangway space and crowding the other users of the restaurant. There is absolutely no excuse or need for this lazy and single minded practice.
If you order a hot dog, like me, you are in for a huge disappointment. What you are likely to get is a roll with a burnt pork sausage that could damage your teeth and leave you with a burnt taste in your mouth. My advice is give it a miss and go somewhere else. Don’t waste your money.
