What Dayslane doesn't like about Harry Tuffins:
Used the self car wash £2.00 for six minutes only just about enough time. Went into the supermarket for supplies somewhat haphazard, more like a wholesale warehouse and hardly any staff around. View all feedback.
Awful horrible rude disgusted by the place don’t go there anyone ever aggressive staff horrible rude
We are on holiday and stopped here for breakfast. Food was very nice, sausages were a bit cheap but on the whole they do a very good meal for the price. Service is fast and friendly and there is a kind of retro feel to the place. It reminds me very much of the cafes we stopped at on coach trips as a kid and I think this is a strength that could be enhanced with a bit of gingham and some artificial flowers lol. If money is tight you could definitely do worse than stopping here, portions are enormous and all five of us had breakfast for just over £27. Bargain :
This morning me and my daughter and 3 children went into café for light refreshments. My daughter ordered a cheese and onion panni and got a cheese and onion toasted sandwich at the panni price, 2 of the children wanted crisps, on return to the table we found out they were out of date, the 3rd child had a piece of cake described as cream cake when in fact it was butter cream filling. When I asked to speak to the owner of the café, she said I was rude and abusive when all I wanted was the problem resolved. Also a gentleman stood in the doorway and said give her, her money, and get her out. I run a café and I know this not the way to treat a customer
We’re on our way to Borth and decided to stop and have something to eat. Had a walk round supermarket and decided to have a bite to eat there. So glad we did. Food was yummy and cheep. I had beef stew with four veg and potatoes. My friend had Ham veg and parsley sauce. Food was red hot, and very tasty. On tue over 60s got free pud too. We had Bread and Butter pudding with custard also yummy and with two teas just over £6 each. Can’t grumble at that. Was so nice we called on way back. I had liver and bacon, friend had chilli. Also tasty.
Called after a long absence, to do some shopping in Harry Tuffins quaint and wonderful shop and was surprised to find the car park virtually empty. Later all became clear, Tuffins is now the Co-op!!! All the quirkiness which made this shop so popular and different has gone and you are left with a below average supermarket with expensive prices! The Staff seemed demoralised and lacking in their old gusto! Won't be returning. Also the cafe needed a very good deep clean and staff need some customer care training. As for the caged birds!!I I felt desperately sorry for them to be seeing their days out in small cages in the entrance to the supermarket. They should be taken away and sent somewhere to experience freedom and space before they die, poor little souls and SHAME on those allowing that to happen!!
