My family and I come here every week and we are always satisfied. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a cozy open fire and a friendly atmosphere. The food has a homemade quality to it and the portions are just right. The crispy chips and side salads are a nice touch. My partner and father-in-law always go for the steak, which is cooked perfectly every time. This place is a must-visit if you are in the area.

This charming traditional pub and restaurant offers a warm and friendly atmosphere, complete with a roaring fire on chilly nights. The food is delicious with generous portions, and the desserts are in the lovely traditional style - the syrup sponge and custard is a must-try! Make sure to save room for dessert as everything is freshly cooked, so expect quality over quick microwave meals.

I initially didn't plan on leaving a second review, as the food was just as amazing as our last visit. However, we had a mishap with our van getting stuck on the grass in the pub car park, with the rear wheels spinning and us going nowhere on a Sunday afternoon. We went into the pub to explain the situation, and the landlord quickly put on his coat and came out to help. He hooked his 4x4 to the front of my van and effortlessly pulled us out without any fuss. It was a fantastic display of hospitality and assistance.

Homemade food worth waiting for and the service was good by all staff. Will definitely be going back again

We have now visited three times on our way between Manchester and Aberystwyth ... each time the food and service has been excellent . Steak was excellent, real home made chips and then The Burger ... my daughter had this , it was very high quality .
