What Coylum doesn't like about At Bradford Arms:
Attracted by the reviews and the menus we went for lunch. I ordered the steak kidney pudding and my wife had the ham egg chips. I had been looking forward to a home made pudding but it seems that it would be crazy expensive to make so they are bought in. Mainly pastry, so not a pudding: really a very ordinary individual S K pie. The ham and eggs were good. Nice guy running the bar was probably the owner. The lady che... View all feedback.

Ate with friends for early dinner on a Saturday evening. Dogs allowed in bar area. Two of us had the roast beef dinner, husband had the stroganoff and our veggie friend had the mushroom and leek pancake. All meals tasted great and good size peortions. Beef very tender and fab gravy. 3 of us had desserts two had the cheesecake and the other had the sticky toffee pudding. Wine by the glass or bottle is very reasonable and good selection too. Fabulous puddings....and a must try as all home made.
Not for the faint hearted! Having been “warned” about this place, we were curious on our first visit. We were met by Bob, the owner who’s character could be likened to a mr Basil Faulty. The beer was excellent, the service good and the food was just fantastic! Mainly homemade, piping hot and really tasty. All for a very reasonable price too. There was a good mix of customers including several tourists. We had several drinks there and found Bob and his somewhat peculiar ways quite funny. We returned the following night where the food and drink was just as nice, again at a very reasonable price. Bob wasn’t so entertaining though, or had the novelty worn off and we had got used to him! I think his heart is in it, so we’ll worth a try
Called on a whim while staying at our caravan. Food was terrible! Ordered two roast dinners, came with tiny bit of meat, 3 roast potatoes and a small plate of veg to share (no proper veg- limp cabbage, carrot suede). No taste what so ever. Think it was left overs from Sunday
Visited again for their amazing Sunday lunches. Dog friendly in bar area too. We both opted for Mains and Desserts, as the puddings are home made by Cath and are superb. I had the Turkey and husband opted for roast beef comes with lashings of home made gravy, roast potatoes and fresh proper veg plate to share and includes new potatoes. Tasted fab and meat cut thick and so tender. Puddings husband had the Sticky toffee pudding which is his favourite there and I had the Eton Mess. All tasted great and highly recommended if in the area as the Bradford is also a hotel.
