The little girl who runs the checkout is the best part of the food here. Although they may not even have their permanent upper incisors, they ran this register better than most CPAs I know. The food is not bad for this price... But there are better Asian restaurants further south on Sawmill (at Hard Rd). The Chicken String Bean was excellent, and I ordered it Extra Spicy, and it was not disappointed. The Spring Roll... View all feedback.
The amount of food you receive for the price is excellent and one of the best. A large duck can easily feed two average adults. The taste of food is also quite good and served hot. Definitely one of the most popular local Chinese spots.
The best Chinese take out I know of. Food is well prepared and fresh. The dining area and kitchen are always spotless clean which is always a good sign.
My favorite Chinese restaurant! Always hot and crispy for a great price. Can't beat that lunch special with drink for 7 bucks!
Always excellent, occasionally brilliant. There’s not a single item on the menu that I dislike. This is the only place in the city where you can enjoy such high-quality food at such an affordable price. When I go for lunch, I often let them pick my meal to save myself the stress of making a decision, and it always turns out to be delicious. My only complaint is that after dining here, it's hard to compare any other Chinese restaurant to New China Express. Update: It continues to impress. I trust them to select my meal and I’m never let down.
The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the little girl at the checkout—she runs the register better than many accountants I know, despite being so young that she might not even have her adult teeth yet. The food is decent for the price, but there are better Asian dining options further south on Sawmill at Hard Road. The Chicken String Bean was excellent, and I ordered it extra spicy, which did not disappoint. The Spring Roll was also very good and flavorful, though a bit heavier than typical spring rolls. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was delicious and paired nicely with the spring roll. Unfortunately, the hot and sour soup was quite disappointing; it had a strong beef bouillon flavor and was overly salty—I couldn't even finish it, and I usually enjoy salty foods.
